There was an awesome response to our weekly sketch challenge last week. I mean, look at all these samples. We have another sketch today and I decided to cowboy up and get 'er done.
This is one of the very first images I got to know when I first started stamping with MFT. It's available as a digi file and it works perfectly for that cowgirl in your life.
As a side note, Jay and I went to a store called Atwoods as part of our date night. I'm a city girl who lives in the country (read, smaller town) now and Atwoods was a new experience for me. They have everything from fishing poles to auto parts to toys to candy to....you guessed it...cowboy boots. I wanted to try a pair on, but I didn't. I figured I'd look just a tad goofy. Besides, if I loved them, I'd have to take $240 out of my budget...
I used the popular Dainty Doily dienamic that is currently being restocked--you guys love your doilies! I attempted to sew in a circle on the doily and while it is a little crocked, it was usable. I also tied three french knots using twine. The sentiment is from the ever useful More Essential Sentiments set.
Check Kim's blog and the forum to see everyone who played along. I'll be lookin' in the gallery to see YOUR creation soon. :) ~megan
