Creative Challenge

Welcome to MFT Design Team Creative Challenge.  This month, we created projects with the It's a Wrap theme.  I have two samples to show you today.  If you've been around here long, you know I love to incorporate tags on my cards, but I also like dressing up gifts with tags, too.

First, I used the Well Worn Greetings Dienamics set.  It was so easy to cut out all the pieces and stamp the top layer.  The red dot border is from the Christmas Ornament set and the sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Christmas.  This set has had a good workout from me this holiday season!  I love the size and the font of this sentiment.  It's a bit larger and I find myself reaching for it quite a bit.

I ordered a few little kraft polka dot bags of Etsy {source here} and had wrapped up this little gift.  The recipient wanted to keep the wrapping after she had dug into it!  I call that a success!

Second, I made a free hanging tag to hang from a gift bag handle.  I had this image colored on a larger piece of cardstock and then I cut it with my Tag You're It Dienamic.  I know that's not the ideal way to cut it, but I figured out a little trick I'll be sharing later this week.  :)  I lined the tag on a piece of grey felt and simply cut a 1/4" border around the tag. 

Using the Textile Rectangle Dienamic, I created a little tab for my sentiment.  There's a woven scarf tucked inside, so I couldn't use any of the darling knit sentiments in the a la modes Knit Happens set. 

I tied a white twill bow to the handle of the gift bag and attached the tag.  After it was tied, I thread some twine under the bow to attach a big red button.  It needed a pop of red with all those dark neutrals.
