MFTeasers: You Move Me

Hello!  Welcome to the first day of teasers for the MFT July release.  We have some fabulous goodies in store for you and we're starting off with a bang.

I just *had* to show off the new set You Move Me.  It has a wonderful array of coordinating dienamics (you know I love those!) that work wonders with the stamps set.  Get ready for three samples...yes, I said THREE!!

I have two CAS {clean and simple} cards to show you first.

The sentiments are in a variety of cute fonts and I wanted to highlight the "zoom" sentiment.  I used the little scooter dienamic and stamped the image right on top.  How fun and easy is that to make for a sweet little card?!

Next, I have a little rocket.  It's rocket trails steam path was lined up and stamped on the card base for a little extra something.  I added just a tiny little bling for the rocket window--you know, so the astronauts could see out.

And I couldn't just leave you with two CAS cards.  I had to make one like I usually do.  ;)

There's lots of stitching, ribbon, and a button.  That feels much better!  I used a little enamel for three rocket windows on this one.

I hope you enjoyed these little peeks.  I can't wait to see what you do with this set.  There are so many possibilities!  See you soon.  ~megan

I used one of my favorite Greetings sets, the Polka Dot Greetings Dienamics Duo. I love the polka dot frames and the sentiments are sweet too. I used the Dainty Doily Dienamic in the background and tied it all up with a little ribbon.

Your next stop on this Birthday Mob is Melody! She's talented and sweet, so you're sure to enjoy her post. :)

A Bella SFYTT

Our fabulous June sponsor, Stamping Bella, has a darling line of stamps called Peeps.  I inked up the Call Me Peep {so cute} with the big phone.  I've added a number of the peeps to my collection, they're just too darling.

The phone was screaming to be paper pieced and I used some of the SEI Fair Day paper.  It's soft and pretty.  I colored the peep with Copics and added a wide piece of ribbon for the main panel.

It's nearly time for the new sketch and it's fabulous.  I hope you get to play along!  ~megan

Celebrate 30

Happy Monday, did y'all have a good weekend?  Ours flew by, as they usually do.

DH requested a special card for one of his coworkers who was celebrating 30 years with their company. I knew Mint Motif's I've Got Your Number was a perfect fit.

This is some fun chemistry paper by Jillibean Soup.  I used a Technique Tuesday {love that those are in the store} stamp called This Life.  I wanted to keep it manly, but add a little texture, so there's a piece of brown twill and a bit of twine added to the main panel.

We have a busy day with lots of errands today.  Be back soon.  ~megan

You Are My Sunshine

This is one of my favorite things to sing my little baby, it only makes sense to love this little itty bitty.

Have you seen the whole line up itty bittys?  They are my favorite Unity stamps to buy.  :)

I colored the image with Copics on Xpress cardstock.  The pleated ribbon and twine tie it off.

Simply Wonderful

I wanted to revisit one of my old favorite frames, the Polka Dot Greetings set.  The polka dot frames really highlight the sentiment and this one is sweet.

My mom found some vintage sheet music knowing it would be nice in the craft room.  The Dainty Doily is a little girly, but for the most part, I kept this card gender neutral.

The green stripe is a piece of wide ribbon folded in half, with the fold down.  It poofs just a little for extra dimension.  These papers are from the new JilliBean collection.  I also added just a bit of cork under the button, maybe to offset the girly-ness of the doily?

Check the MFT forum for more samples and all the details on how YOU can play along!  ~megan

MFT VIP Blog Hop

We've got a fishy blog hop for you tonight.  This WTG is underwater.

Start at Kim's blog and work your way through--lots of WTGs to see.

I love the texture of the cork in this watery scene, almost like sand.  We're headed on vacation soon and after much deliberation, we're not heading to the beach.  Rather, to the mountains.  I needed this stamp to make up for lost beach time.  :)

I put my Copic airbrush system (still loving it) to good use to color this image.  I just loved the sentiment--so clever.

The exclusive VIP kit is available here.  Check out the sweet new Dienamics that comes in this kit--the large rolled rose.

Your next stop is Frances--she's got a Bondi Beach Mermaid to show off.  :)

IHP DT June Challenge and SALE

Our DT challenge this month is Sensational Summer.  While there are a number of directions we could go, I went with the Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho paper.  What's more summer than watermelon?

I finally got my hands on Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese set (it's so popular, it sells out fast!) and I paired it with Just My Type.  Cute, huh?  I have tons of plans for this darling polaroid.

I tied it up with a piece of yellow twill and added some white enamel to the buttons on the phone.  It's so cool in real life!
Even though new items are still arriving in the store (new Unity, OCL and Echo Park, to name a few), CHA is only a few weeks away! Starting today, IHP is having a HUGE Pre-CHA Clearance sale to help make room for new things that will be purchased at the show. Some highlights of the big sale:

I've Met My Match

Let me tell you, I have met my match.  If I could ever be an a la mode, this would be it!  Granted, I'd need different legs, a hair stylist, a bigger racket, etc.

This new a la mode is perfectly lovely.

I kept it fairly simple with different tones of grey and a nice red heart from the Notched Tag Dienamic set.  I colored the image with Copics on Xpress cardstock.

Make sure you check Kim's blog for all of the samples.  :)

TCP ATC

Good morning.  I have a special treat to share today.  It's a hop, so start here.  :)

A bit of time ago I participated in an ATC {artist trading card} swap.  Each girl made a sweet little ATC using TCP {the cat's pajamas} stamps and our fearless leader swapped them out.  I received a darling little pack of pretty ATCs.

Here is the one I made.  I used Salud! penguin set.  I bought this set for two reasons:

1. I can pretend to speak Spanish.  On a whim, I bought a plane ticket to Chile {with periodic visits to Argentina} to learn Spanish.  I went alone.  I learned a lot.
2. It makes me want to shout "tequila."  You know, Pee Wee Herman style.

I stamped the image with craft ink and heat embossed it.  The margarita was colored with Copics and the hat was paper pieced.

Here are all of 'em:

You next stop is Nancy Thomas.  She's super sweet and super talented--I loveeeee her ATC.

Beautiful Day

I hope it's a beautiful day where you are.  Summer kicked in early here and it's been HOT.  It's the kind of hot I plan my day around.  I try to get all my errands done before noon so I can stay at home during the heat of the day.

I wanted to make a shabby card and I went straight for some Melissa Frances paper...and the rolled roses.  :)

There's lots of dienamics on this card:
Decorative Doily Duo
and the leaves from the Leaf Trio.

I used the Puff Cloud felt on the rolled roses and scallop trim.  Phew, that was a lot, huh?!  Check the MFT blog/forum for more samples.

Creative Challenge: Paint

In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we've all been challenged to paint!  Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge!

There are so many things to do with paint that I nearly didn't accept this challenge.  As I thought about it, two ideas married for my final project.  First, I've seen a lot of those cute burp rags that are made from cloth diapers and pretty fabric.  Second, is the freezer paper faux screen print idea.  Here is the result:

Supplies: Dienamic and die cutting machine, freezer paper, paint (I used Making Memories acrylic paint, but fabric paint would work nicely, too), foam  paint brush, sewing machine, cloth diaper, pretty fabric, and ribbon.

1.  I used my Butterflies Dienamic to cut this butterfly out of a little square of freezer paper.  Keep in mind that you are going to use the negative, so give yourself a border.
2.  I ironed the freezer paper glossy side down to my pink fabric.
3.  Then, I painted!
4.  Next, I peeled the freezer paper away and trimmed the pink fabric.  It doesn't take much time to dry and I wanted to see the finished results, so I did this pretty quickly.
5.  Get creative!  Sew your painted piece to some pretty fabric and add some embellishments {like you would with a card} and voila!  Cuteness, huh?

I know this will make a darling little baby gift.  I made up a sassy little card to go with it using the Sweet & Sassy stamp set and dienamics.

Do you see that little butterfly in the set??  Coordinates perfectly.

Card Positioning Systems

Have you seen the new CPS sketch?  How about the new CPS sponsor?  How about what the CPS team did with MFT stamps?  Darling samples over there, I tell ya!

If you follow me often, you know my MFT stamps get a good workout and you know they had to show up for this sketch.  ;)

I used the sweet little Pure Innocence LolliPop Girl.  Look at that shiny lollipop!  I covered it in clear glaze after the image was colored with Copics.

You'll also notice the Notched Tag Dienamic where I stamped the sentiment.  If you don't already have this set, you need it.  It is totally prefect for little sentiments or to add a little embellishment.

I'm off to get a few things done until the baby wakes up.  See ya soon.  :)

Lawn Fawn Hello

It's a pretty Sunday afternoon here, how about where you are?  I don't usually blog on Sundays, but everyone in my house (DH, baby, and 2 dogs) are napping.  I thought I could share a little Lawn Fawn card with you today.

Lawn Fawn images are so cute.  The lines are always eye catching and flirty.  They're a blast to work with.  I actually have another card for you, but I'm going to wait a couple of days before I show it to you.  :)

The Just My Type set has an adorable telephone in it that got the girly treatment.  I used Copics to color her in and a some of the pretty pink paper out of the Blossom Soup collection.

There's a piece of wide black check ribbon and a row of pretty black bling.  Do you see the white dots between the hellos?  That is the Ranger White Enamel--that I use on a ton of things!

I'll be back soon with another sweet Lawn Fawn card!

Miss You a Latte

The new WSC sketch is up in the MFT forum.  Are you playing along this week?  All the details can be found in the forum--it's a great way to win some MFT cash.

I used one of my favorite {one of everyone's favorite} a la modes, Miss You a Latte.  The little sentiment panel is from the Award Ribbon Dienamic set.  Perfect, right?

I punched a couple of holes in my main panel {risky, I know}, threaded some twine, and added the notched tag.

See you soon.  ~megan

MFT Blog Hop and Shop

Another fabulous release, right? All of the new stamps and dienamics are available here.

Start the hop off at Kim's blog--you don't want to miss any of the samples. I've got a couple of samples for you today. I have had so much fun stamping this release--all these samples just made themselves! :)

First up, I have the Jolinne-I Love You This Much.

I used a Perfect Paper Panel and colored the image with Copics. The Simply Scallops Medium Dienamic with linen added the perfect feminine touch. The striped accent is from the washi tape I recently added to my stash.

I inked up my Popping By Pure Innocence. The Mini Film Strip Border Dienamic was calling my name.

I used the new Open Bracket Border Dienamic. This border is a keeper. I love the little flourish it adds. Super cute.

Your next stop on the hop is Julie. I know she's got some pretty for you to see.

MFTeasers: Sunbathing Flopsey and Rainbow Dienamic

It's almost time for the release!  Do you have any favorites?  Are you waiting until you see everything to choose a favorite?

Since I've been an MFT customer {a long time} I've always loved the sweet Flopsey.  Here, he's soaking up the sun while reading a book.  This will be the first summer I'm playing with a baby in the pool instead of lounging like him!

I used the Simply Scallops Dienamic and black felt on the bottom.  The Sunshine Dienamic and cork paper work wonderfully together.  I'm also putting my Copic airbrush system to good work.  :)

We also have a fun new addition to our dienamic line up.  The Rainbow Dienamic will be available in this release.  I paired my sweet little rainbow with the Great Outdoors stamp set and the Flat Bottom Clouds.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on June 7 at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on June 7 at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on June 7 at 10 PM EST.

MFTeasers: Pure Innocence

Welcome to Day Three of Teasers.  I have three Pure Innocence girls to show you--you're going to have as much fun with these girls as I did!

I'm going to start with our My Little Firecracker.  I used my Stacking Stars Dienamic and my Copic airbrush system to create the stary background Miss PI finds herself in.

I used some of the new glitter MFT carries in her sparkler and on the ground.  This is the new MME American Made dp.  I hand stitch most {if not all} of my buttons to the card front.  It's worth the extra effort to have a high quality finished product.

Next up is Wedding Flower Girl.  I knew I wanted a soft and shabby look, so I used some Melissa Frances paper.

Linen adds such a soft feel, too.  I used the Simply Scallops Large Dieanmic with the linen.

Last, but not least, is Rose Pure Innocence.  Do you see the new Leafy Flourish Dienamic?  It's fabulous!

Again, I used the Simply Scallops Large Dienamic to add a little ruffle.

Here are the details about the upcoming release on June 7 at 10 PM EST:

A Late SFYTT

Hi friends. I'm super late with my SFYTT post today. I have an extremely good excuse though. We decided to head to Joplin, MO today and see if we could lend a hand. My husband is very handy and I was going to squeeze in some work as the baby allowed. I'll get to more on that in a sec....

Did you see this awesome sketch?? Ohhh, how I love it. I love the circle and the panels. Here's my take, using our wonderful sponsor, Stamping Bella, Turtle Tot.

I've always loved these little turtles. So cute. I used some Memory Box Spearmint paper. I've learned that I work much better with more muted colors. I've got to leave the bright colors up to those who know how to use it...much better than I.

Make sure you check out my SFYTT Sistahs, too! They've had their posts up all day. ;)

and our sweet guest designer Joanne Basile

1. The SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY {SFYTT} will be posted on the first Saturday of each month on www.iheart2stamp.com at 8am EST and will stay open to participants until the last day of the month, unless otherwise noted.
2. This is for fun! Interpret the sketch as you wish and embellish as desired. There are no vendor restrictions, but we would love to see you use the sponsor’s stamps!
3. Each month we will have a Designer of the Month that will be chosen from past month’s participants.
4. Come and play with us on each and every sketch! On Christmas Day 2011 a prize package worth over $200 will be given away to one very lucky and loyal SFYTT stamper that participates in EVERY sketch for the year.

Everyone except for SFYTT Sisters are eligible for the prize package, including Designer of the Month and international players.
6. When posting your sketch creation on your blog, please post the sketch and link back to the sketch post onwww.iheart2stamp.com. When posting to online galleries, please use the keyword “SFYTT.”
Now it’s your turn! Happy stamping and good luck!!

As for Joplin. All I will say is I've never seen anything before like it.
