I'm popping in with my last sample for this month's SFYTT {sketch for you to try} and you can see sample one here and two here.
As soon as I saw this sweet little tornado, I knew he was coming home with me. I have a healthy fear of disturbing weather and since I live in Oklahoma, I get to practice that fear on a regular basis--in or out of tornado season. Each time that tornado siren goes off....eeesh! Some native (I'm not native) Oklahomans run outside when the sirens go off. Needless to say, I'm not one of them!
The tornado is part of the new Eco Friendly stamp set by Paper Smooches. If you go to their blog, they've been having several days of celebration with new stamp peeks. They'll be available soon and I'm looking forward to seeing them all in one place.
I stamped the image twice on the baby blue paper and airbrushed {my new favorite toy!} one of them different shades of aqua {BGs}. I airbrushed the other with some grey tones {Cs} and stamped the swirly path. I paper pieced the aqua tornado right on top and covered him with clear glaze.
There's just a couple of more days to finish up your sample and we'll be back on Saturday with a *new* sketch!

That tornado looks great... the clear glaze and paper piecing are so effective. Thanks so much for joining us at Jay Gee's :)
So CUTE! I love the glaze on the "swirl" -- really makes it stand out!
