The My Favorite Things March release is available here! For the past week you've seen all the fabulous new stamp sets and Die-namics. I have three projects and a number of pictures for you today, so let's get started!
When I was playing with the new Behind the Camera Die-namics it occurred to me that we have a darling a la mode holding a camera. Picture Perfect is our sweet a la mode below that I featured with the new Behind the Camera stamp set and Die-namics.
I used the new Mini Monarch Border Die-namics with grey felt on the background panel. The button on the lens was inspired by the a la mode image. I also added some pretty flowers using the Flower Border Die-namics. I love how it added some girly flair to the camera:
At the beginning of the year, I took on the Project Life project. I'm not doing a week by week {or day by day--how would I ever do that?!?!}, but rather catching up on the last year of photos. I chose this route to scrapbook my daughter's life, but to simplify the process and avoid fussy layouts. Enter: Die-namcis. They make it so easy to make some cute insert cards and I focused on the Behind the Camera Die-namics for the middle inserts on the page below. I also used the Pet Charms Die-namics for a few easy details.
I picked a few of my favorite pictures of my daughter and the dogs. I used the heart from Homespun Birdhouse Die-namics {it sits on my desk I use it so much} to accent the panels.
After I saw my finished layout I couldn't leave Pure Innocence Puppy Girl uninked, right?! I created a little outdoor scene using the Fresh Cut Grass Border Die-namics and the Cloud Trio Die-namics with green and white felt respectively.
Here's a detail of the grass and the little bone. I used the Pet Charms Die-namics for a sweet little treat in the corner.
I cut the grass out of green felt and used the both the cut piece and the negative. I used a dark green and a medium grey Copic marker and airbrushed some dimension on both pieces. I placed a single line of Scor Tape on the blue striped patterned paper and attached one of the grass pieces. Then, I stitched the second piece on in front of that. All the pieces are secure that way. Once everything is secure, I used the new Oval STAX Die-namics.
I used the Simply Scallops Die-namics with the new Mini Monarch Border Die-namics for a detail on the edge. I especially like to mix previously released dies with the new ones. :)
I hope you enjoyed all the teasers leading up to the release!
