Pep Rally Cards

I have TWO cards to share today, so make sure you scroll all the way down.  

First up is a card with an interactive (and functioning!) felt pocket.  I cut a piece of white felt with the large Die-namics from the Bookmark Duo set.  I folded it in thirds, stitched the sides (once to create the pocket and again to adhere it to the paper), stitched a button on, and clipped an opening for the button.  It was SUPER fast and easy.  I wanted it stitched to the paper because I didn't want it to fall off--it's extra durable to withstand the recipient opening the pocket.

I also used the Double Dot Border Die-namics (one of my favorites!), the Labels 4 STAX Die-namics, the Wavy Edge Border Die-namics, and the Lead the Way Die-namics.  I used the Jersey stamp set to stamp the "open" sentiment with Red Currant Fresh Ink.

I think I'd like to tuck a little handmade embellishment right inside and send it off to a crafty friend. I'm sure there are many other things you could stick right inside, too!  Here's a look at the new Die-namics:

I have had this card idea in my head for a few days now.  I wanted to go clean and simple, plus have the "meat" of the card in the lower right corner.  I have no idea where this idea came from, but I love the results!

I used the Retro Square Border Die-namics to incorporate a little patterned paper.  I love that this Die-namics allows you to cut the base and the border for layering.  Of course, you could have lovely results using them separately as well.

The star of the show is the three felt flowers, though.  I need to roll more flowers.  Period.  I used the Scalloped Rolled Flower Die-namics, the Rolled Flower Die-namics, and a Mini Rolled Rose Die-namics.  {all linked below}

The sentiment is also from the Jersey stamp set and stamped in Red Currant Fresh Ink.  I used the Leafy Flourish and some pearls to accent the flower trio.
